AUDITORY PROCESSING THERAPY

Children with auditory processing disorders may have difficulty with the following:

  • Paying attention in a noisy environment

  • Remembering information such as directions, lists, or numbers

  • Auditory attention

  • Understanding more complex language such as riddles or verbal math problems

  • May also have executive functioning difficulties

Treatment programs for auditory processing disorders are highly individualized depending on the child's needs.
