THE HANEN PROGRAM

We are now offering the "More Than Words" Hanen parent training program.  This intensive 12-week program provides parents of young children (ages 2-5) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or social communication difficulties with practical tools to help their children communicate.  Chelsea Bates, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a Hanen certified speech-language pathologist who will be leading this wonderful program.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

-How your child communicates right now and the next steps to take
-How your child learns best and how to take advantage of these preferences
-What motivates your child to communicate

-How to turn everyday activities into opportunities for learning to communicate

-How to help your child understand what you say
-How to develop your child’s play skills
-How to help your child make friends

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The full cost of the 12-week program is $2100.  The program is offered via Google Meet so you can login from the comfort of your home. It includes a pre-program consultation with the speech-language pathologist, 8 group classes (~2 hours each), and 3 one-on-one sessions (45 minutes each) with the speech-language pathologist.

Although the group sessions are not covered by insurance,

often your individual sessions may be ($900) covered with out-of-network benefits.

WHEN IS IT?

Our fall program starts September 1, 2022.  All group sessions will be held on Thursdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm via Google Meet.  Individual sessions will be scheduled directly with your speech-language pathologist.

  Registration is limited to 8 families.
